Franconia Vigne Alte Riserva


Franconia is an Austrian variety or more likely a Slovenian variety. It is also known under the German name of Limbergher. Is grown in Austria and in all the wine areas of the former Austro-Hungaric Empire; in Italy is cultivated in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The grapes are hand picked in 20 kg crates. The harvest is happening at the best level of grapes maturation. Fermentation in stain steel tanks. Skin contact during fermentation is 10 days long and is giving to the wine an elegant and long lasting taste.
This wine is ageing 4 years in French oak casks and 12 months in the bottles that we keep lay down in our quiet cellar.
