1. Destinations served
Podere Cavàga ships to Italian destinations available at checkout. Before completing the order, customers can check delivery availability for their address, available shipping methods, costs and free-shipping thresholds. Some locations, smaller islands, mountain areas and remote or hard-to-reach areas may require longer delivery times or specific courier conditions.
International shipping
Shipping outside Italy is available only when the destination can be selected at checkout. Shipping wine, spirits or other alcoholic products abroad also depends on destination-country legislation, courier restrictions, tax and customs requirements, and restrictions on the sale and delivery of alcohol. Podere Cavàga may refuse or cancel an order to a country where shipping is not permitted or cannot be lawfully carried out. Any amounts already paid will be refunded if the order is cancelled.
2. Shipping costs
Standard shipping is free for orders over €100.00 unless different conditions are clearly stated on the Website, at checkout or in a specific promotion. For orders of €100.00 or less, shipping is calculated and displayed before final confirmation.
The threshold is based on the value of products actually purchased, after discounts and promotional codes, before shipping costs, and excluding any products or services outside the promotion. Additional services, special deliveries or non-standard shipping may incur extra costs, always shown before payment.
3. Products excluded from shipping calculations
Unless otherwise stated, digital gift cards, electronic vouchers, bookings for stays, tastings, experiences and events, services for a specific date, and digitally sent content or documents do not require physical shipping. Their value may not count towards free shipping when purchased with physical products. Any free shipping is shown in the order summary before payment.
4. Order preparation
Orders are prepared on working days, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays and closure periods announced on the Website. Preparation normally begins after receipt of the order, payment confirmation, availability checks and any checks on the customer's details. Weekend, holiday and closure-period orders are processed from the next available working day.
Pre-order, personalised, limited-edition or specially available products may require longer preparation. Specific timings are stated on the product page or communicated to the customer.
5. Delivery times
Delivery times shown on the Website, at checkout or in the confirmation are estimates starting when the courier accepts the parcel. They may vary by destination, order day and time, product availability, holidays, shipping volume, weather, remote or hard-to-reach location, courier checks or restrictions, and events outside Podere Cavàga's control.
Unless otherwise agreed, delivery will take place without undue delay and within 30 days of conclusion of the contract. If the agreed deadline cannot be met, Podere Cavàga will inform the customer and, as appropriate, propose a new delivery date, alternative shipping, replacement of an unavailable product, full or partial cancellation, or a refund for undeliverable products. Consumers' statutory rights remain unaffected.
6. Holidays and peak periods
Preparation and delivery may take longer during high-volume periods such as Christmas, national holidays, Black Friday, promotions, product launches, special events, harvest or business closures. Significant changes will be communicated on the Website, in the confirmation or by email.
Order well in advance for gifts or date-specific deliveries. Podere Cavàga cannot guarantee delivery by a particular occasion without express written confirmation.
7. Protection during transport
Products are packed in packaging suited to their nature and designed to protect them in transit. Wine, spirits and glass products may use shock-resistant packaging, internal dividers, specific bottle boxes, extra protection and approved or suitable materials for fragile goods.
In extreme heat or cold, exceptional weather or other conditions that might compromise quality, Podere Cavàga may postpone shipping for the strictly necessary period. Customers will be informed using the contact details provided with the order.
8. Couriers
Shipments are entrusted to couriers selected by Podere Cavàga. Couriers deliver according to their procedures and may send confirmation emails, text messages, delivery notifications, address-update requests or information about failed attempts.
Customers must check that messages actually come from the appointed courier. Podere Cavàga will not request extra payments through suspicious messages or links or channels not specified in the order.
9. Tracking
Where available, a tracking code or link is sent after the parcel is handed to the courier. Tracking may take several hours to update. Not receiving tracking immediately does not necessarily mean the order has not shipped. If the code remains inactive after a reasonable time, contact accoglienza@cavaga.it with the order number.
10. Delivery address
Customers are responsible for an accurate, complete address. Before confirming, check the recipient's first and last name, street and number, any apartment, staircase or building details, postcode, town and province, country, telephone number and useful delivery instructions. Podere Cavàga is not responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by incorrect, incomplete or outdated customer details.
Address changes
Request a change promptly at accoglienza@cavaga.it. Changes are possible only before the order has been prepared or handed to the courier. After shipping, Podere Cavàga cannot guarantee acceptance of an address or recipient change, redirection to another location or a specific delivery date. Related costs may be charged after notifying the customer.
11. Delivery to third parties
Customers may nominate someone other than the buyer as recipient. They declare that they are authorised to share the recipient's details, have supplied accurate information, have informed the recipient of the delivery and that the recipient meets any age requirements.
Delivery to the nominated recipient, a family member, receptionist, concierge or another person at the address may be considered valid under the courier's procedures. Avoid addresses where the recipient cannot be clearly identified.
12. Alcohol delivery
Wine, spirits and other alcoholic drinks may be sold and delivered only to people aged at least eighteen. By ordering alcohol, customers declare that they are adults and guarantee that the recipient is also at least eighteen.
Podere Cavàga or the courier may require an adult recipient, age confirmation, valid identification or a signature on delivery. Delivery may be refused if the recipient is a minor, age cannot be verified, no adult is present, the recipient appears visibly impaired or delivery would breach legal obligations.
Direct storage, return and reshipping costs may be charged, within legal limits, if delivery fails because no adult recipient is present or age declarations are false.
13. Delivery attempts
The number and manner of attempts depend on the courier. If the recipient is absent, the courier may try again, leave a notice, contact the recipient, deposit the parcel at a collection point, place it in storage or return it to the sender. Customers must monitor tracking and follow the courier's instructions.
14. Storage and failure to collect
An uncollected parcel may be returned to Podere Cavàga after the courier's storage period expires. Podere Cavàga will then contact the customer to agree reshipping or cancellation and a product refund. Reshipping costs may be charged. For a refund, direct, documented costs incurred because of customer-attributable failed delivery may be retained within legal limits. No deduction applies when Podere Cavàga or the courier is responsible.
15. Refusing delivery
Customers may refuse a parcel if packaging is seriously damaged, open or tampered with, the number of parcels is incorrect, there are obvious leaks or breakages, or delivery clearly does not match the order. Contact accoglienza@cavaga.it promptly and photograph the issue where possible.
Unjustified refusal does not automatically constitute withdrawal. To withdraw, follow the notice procedure in the Returns and Refunds Policy.
16. Checking the parcel on delivery
Check that the number of parcels matches, packaging is intact, the parcel is not wet, crushed or open, there are no signs of tampering and no sound suggesting broken glass. Where there is an anomaly, refuse the parcel or accept it with a specific reservation.
Describe the issue concretely, for example “visibly crushed parcel”, “wet packaging”, “tampered sealing tape”, “broken glass present” or “open parcel”. Generic wording such as “accepted subject to reservation” may not allow proper damage assessment. Failure to record a reservation does not remove Consumers' statutory rights.
17. Products damaged in transit
Contact accoglienza@cavaga.it as soon as possible with the order number, buyer's name, damaged products, affected quantities and a description. Where possible, attach a photograph of the entire parcel and shipping label, photographs of outer packaging, internal protection and damaged products, and any reservation recorded with the courier.
Keep the box, protective materials, bottles, damaged products and shipping label until verification is complete. Following assessment, Podere Cavàga may propose replacement, a new shipment, full or partial refund or another agreed solution. Necessary costs of replacing products damaged in transit are borne by Podere Cavàga.
18. Missing or incorrect products
If contents differ from the order or are incomplete, contact accoglienza@cavaga.it with the order number, received products, missing or incorrect items, and photographs of the contents, packaging and shipping label.
After verification, Podere Cavàga will, as appropriate, send the correct product, supply missing items, arrange collection of an incorrect product, or make a full or partial refund. Customers do not bear costs for errors attributable to Podere Cavàga.
19. Split shipments
An order may ship in several parcels if products are at different locations, become available at different times, need separate packaging or splitting for protection, or separate delivery is logistically more efficient. Customers may receive several notices or tracking codes. Unless otherwise stated, splitting decided by Podere Cavàga incurs no extra customer cost.
20. Courier delays
For a delayed shipment, contact Podere Cavàga with the order number. Podere Cavàga will check with the courier and open a support or search request where needed. A tracking-update delay does not automatically mean the parcel is lost. If declared lost or permanently undeliverable, Podere Cavàga will offer reshipping if products are available, or refund the amounts relating to undelivered products.
21. Transfer of risk
For Consumer purchases, Podere Cavàga bears the risk of loss or damage until the customer, or a designated third party other than the courier, takes physical possession. Risk passes to the Consumer on delivery to the carrier only if the Consumer independently chose a carrier not proposed by Podere Cavàga.
Different terms agreed in the order, quotation or commercial contract may apply to company or Professional purchases.
22. Events outside Podere Cavàga's control
Podere Cavàga is not responsible for delays directly caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, exceptional weather, fires or floods, strikes, roadblocks, transport disruptions, authority measures, health emergencies, war or unrest, widespread logistics unavailability, infrastructure or IT failures, customs checks and restrictions on the movement of goods.
In such cases, Podere Cavàga will inform the customer of significant delays and take reasonable measures to complete delivery. Consumers' mandatory rights concerning non-delivery remain unaffected.
23. Company and large-volume orders
B2B orders, corporate supplies, multiple gift packs or large-volume purchases may require a tailored quotation, pallet shipping, specific preparation times, scheduled deliveries, different transport conditions or additional insurance. Terms will be communicated and agreed before acceptance. For professional enquiries: commerciale@cavaga.it.
24. Relationship with the Returns and Refunds Policy
This Policy concerns shipping and delivery. For withdrawal, product returns, exchanges, refunds, statutory guarantees, defective products, gift cards and cancellation of stays or experiences, the Returns and Refunds Policy published on the Website applies.
