If the land could speak, it would have the deep, calm voice of a bear.

For our Foresto Riserva 2020, we sought a symbol that could hold the memory of the land and the power of nature. The bear represents the earth at its purest and most ancient: quiet strength, patience, deep roots.

Like a bear crossing the forest with a slow, assured step, this Riserva is born of time and the ability to wait.

The vineyards stand at 450 metres above sea level in Foresto Sparso, where the air is cooler and the land retains all its energy. Here, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grow together, finding a natural balance between structure and finesse.

The result is a wine that unites power and elegance, expressing the depth of the land and the patience of the cellar.

The dark label goes beyond aesthetics: it evokes the forest floor, rich soil and the intensity of a wine that waited for the right moment to reveal itself.

The Cavàga method

The grapes are hand-picked into 20 kg crates, carefully selected in the estate's own vineyards and vinified under the supervision of winemaker Fabio Bigolin.

Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are vinified separately to preserve each variety's distinctive character. Only afterwards are they combined into a Bordeaux-style blend, creating a wine of considerable structure and balanced elegance.

After fermentation comes the wine's most important stage: time.

The Riserva ages for four years in oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation also takes place, developing depth, harmony and complexity. It then rests for at least 12 months in bottles laid down in the silence of Podere Cavàga's cellar.

Like nature waking from a long hibernation, this wine waited for its moment to express itself fully.

The inspiration: the inhabitants of the Podere

Who knows the land better than those born on it?
We asked the inhabitants of our estate to put their faces (and their souls) to it.
Every label is an encounter, every sip tells a story of coexistence between man and nature.

The wine born at Podere Cavàga is the result of a delicate balance, an ongoing dialogue with those who truly inhabit this land. That is why we chose not to tell the story of our wines ourselves, but to let them do it: the inhabitants of the Podere.

The new labels are a tribute to those who live in the shade of the woods, in the spring waters, and in the air of the high vineyards.
Every bottle becomes a portrait of a neighbor who has lent their character to the wine.

The Deer has brought its silent pride to our Franconia Vigne Alte: elegant, noble, and accustomed to observing the world from above.

The Bear has gifted its ancestral strength and reflective calm to the Riserva Foresto 2020 Valcalepio: a solid presence, capable of waiting for the right moment, just like every great Riserva.

The Fox is the spark of our Chardonnay: cunning, lively, a flash of light emerging from the white to express all the freshness of the wine.

And then the Robin and the other fellow travelers who populate the Podere and remind us every day that different worlds can coexist in a natural balance.

These are not simple illustrations.
They are the covers of a book written by many hands: ours and those of our wild inhabitants.
